Q - What do we need to wear?
A - When hiring a canoe or kayak, it is best to dress for the weather. If the worst case scenario is that you fall in, what would be easiest clothing to swim in? Although this is unlikely, it is best to be prepared.
We suggest not to wear flip flops, welly boots or crocs; old trainers or wet shoes work best. Bring extra layers on cold days, and sun hats & suncream on hot days.
Q - What is the difference between a canoe and a kayak?
A - Simply put, a canoe is an open top vessel with two or three seats. You sit higher up and use a single bladed paddle. These are best for people hoping to stay completely dry and would like to try a bit of team work.
A kayak is slightly different, you sit lower down and are sometimes enclosed in a cockpit. The kayaks we hire are single seaters and are 'sit on top kayaks' which do not have a cockpit. To paddle a kayak you use a double bladed paddle and paddle on both sides.
Q- What is the minimum age?
A - The minimum age for our unguided canoe hire is 7 years old.
Q - Where are you based?
A - We are Shropshire based but our business is mobile, so once you have booked a trip we will meet you at an arranged location.
For half and full day trips this is in the town of Bridgnorth in Shropshire.
Q - How do we pay?
We will take a 50% deposit on booking via either Paypal or BACs. We take card or cash on the day to finalise the payments.

Q - Can we book trips that are not listed on the website?
A - Outside of peak times (weekends and summer holidays) we are much more flexible when it comes to bespoke trips. Send us through an email and we will work on getting your trip organised.
Q - What happens if the weather is predicted to be bad?
A - If the weather report is looking bad for the date of your trip then get in touch. We will do our best to move your booking to a date that suits you.
